This equestrian statue of Andrew Jackson is located in Jackson Square in New Orleans. It was described by the sculptor as depicting Jackson just before the Battle of New Orleans in 1815. This statue was dedicated in 1856. It is one of four identical statues sculpted by Clark Mills. The others are located in: Washington, DC, Jacksonville, Florida and Nashville, Tennessee.
