The historical marker shown on the building in the first two photographs below marks the location of a December 3, 1859 address by Abraham Lincoln at what was then Stockton Hall. The historical marker in the third photo below is accross 4th street from the first marker and features a historical image of Stockton Hall in addition to images of Lincoln and his assassin John Wilkes Booth. Booth also appeared on the Stockton Hall stage as an actor in a theatrical production in 1863.
