This monument featuring statues of Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas is located at the site of the first Lincoln-Douglas debate held in 1858 in Ottawa, Illinois. The statues were sculpted by Rebecca Childers Caleel and dedicated in 2002.
The mural shown in the photograph above is across Jackson Street from the park where the debate was held.
