This statue of Thomas Jefferson, entitled "Architect of Liberty" is located in the Virginia State Capitol Extension in Richmond. Jefferson had a signficant role in designing the Virginia Capitol and served as Virginia governor from 1779 to 1781. This statue was sculpted by Ivan Schwartz and dedicated in 2012.
