This marker commemorates the visit of President Bill Clinton to the Great Platte River Road Archway Monument (now known as the The Archway) in Kearney, Nebraska on December 8, 2000. This was Clinton's first visit to Nebraska as president, making Nebraska the 50th and final state he visited during his time in office, just over one month before his term would expire.
