Jimmy Carter attended Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains, Georgia from the time he left the White House in 1981 up until his death. He regularly taught Sunday School and welcomed visitors from around the world to stay after the service and have their picture made with him and his wife Rosalynn, as shown in the third picture below.
