George Washington's Birthday is a Federal Holiday celebrated on the third Monday in February, although many states, retailers, and others refer to the holiday as Presidents Day.  Washington's Birthday will next be celebrated on February 16, 2015.   This page contains some history of how the holiday originally designed to honor George Washington has developed to what is now commonly known as Presidents Day and contains links to various activities appropriate for the holiday.
