These statues of James Polk and Sarah Polk are located in Columbia's Preservation Park directly across the street from the home in which James Polk lived from 1818 to 1824. The statues were sculpted by Jennifer Grisham and dedicated in 2023.
The Polk statues are facing James Polk's former home across the street as shown in the photo above. The first line of the historical marker shown below should state that Polk was born in 1795.
